Last night we had a show that was very emotional for us all. It was the last time we will play as a band in its current form. By May 11th we will all have finished with our undergraduate careers here at UNC and we will be looking toward the next step our in lives. For some of us that involves music, and for others it consists of futures in different places. Katie's going to be at Notre Dame performing sociological research, Curt will be teaching English (and learning Spanish) in Mexico, and Adam will be in Richmond, Virginia pursuing a career in finance.
As for the rest of us, Bobby is finishing up his MAT and will be teaching English in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro/Durham area after the summer, while Jon, Lindsay, Casey, and Tim are still figuring out what we're going to be doing with our lives.

It's 2008 and it has almost been an entire 6 months since we released "Now, Everyone Can Sing"! Thanks to everyone who got a copy and thanks to everyone who weren't able to get a copy but listened to it or came to a show or downloaded it from the internet (before oink was sadly shut down...). If you haven't heard it yet we want you to listen to the whole album.
You will hear more music from us soon. We are looking forward to making it for you.

We had a great weekend in Charlotte followed by a show at the Local 506 with Le Loup and Georgie James (good stuff, check ‘em out). Our Charlotte happenings consisted of an early morning on “Fox News Rising” - we had to be there at 4 a.m. We played after they did the weather, inevitable puns were made. That night we played a show at the Evening Muse in the NoDa district. We can’t believe how hopping that area has become!
We’re really looking forward to the Troika Music Festival the weekend after next. If you’re in the Triangle you should come. Even if you’re not, it might be worth the trip - David Karsten Daniels, David Bazan, Phosphorescent, Bellafea, Megafaun… the list goes on and on. We’ll be at Bull City Headquarters on Saturday, November 3rd at 3pm. All the information you could ever want is at www.troikamusicfestival.org.
Hope to see you soon, until then have a happy autumn!

Hello friends! Our friend Smith Gregg has been working hard on constructing a new internet home for Sweater Weather. Thanks to him for his hard work and web-mastery, and to Jeremy Purser for his amazing artwork and design. What great friends!
Take a look around. There's plenty more to come, but for now there's some information on the band on the "band" page, upcoming shows are listed on the "shows" page, and you can always contact us through the "contact" page. We also have a new album available in the store. It's called Now, Everyone Can Sing. We've been working on it for about two years, and are extremely happy to be able to put it out into the world. Thank you for being so patient with us as we labored, we hope you're happy with the results.
We've got high hopes for future and look forward to seeing you at a show in the future, or communicating in some way, shape or form if you're far away. Take care and check back soon!
